Why Try the Hard Pose?

Why do we place so much emphasis on poses like #pinchamayurasana aka forearm balance?
I’ll tell you for sure, there’s no prize for getting it or any test to pass. The end result of the pose itself has little relevance.
It’s what happens internally when we consistently face a challenge, and learn how to keep our shit together. In the yoga studio setting, we’re doing all this hard physical stuff while (and this is key ) trying to take conscious breaths and stay calm. Practicing how to do hard things and not panic or bolt or give up.
This skill quickly translates into confidence, feeling strong & grounded, and shifting self destructive behaviors. That’s why the ancient yogis were warriors.
All of us already have the tools within ourselves, we usually just need some guidance and support. Wanna learn hard things and face your challenge? Come practice with us.
